The Artisans of Crawford Bay are all within very easy walking distance.
North Woven Brooms is a sweet smelling barn full of broom corn. Janet and Rob and daughters Sarah and Mary make a wide variety of wonderful brooms on antique equipment.
Kootenay Forge
is a family business. Gina, Cory, John and the crew make original functional and ornamental ironwork that is shipped all over the world. The clanging of ironwork being forged at the Forge and Furnace Gallery can be heard by us next door.
Fireworks Copper and Glass Lorna makes gorgous copper enamalled pieces that are both functional and decorative, including many of the buttons for our jackets, vests and shoulder bags. Watch her work in her upstairs studio at the Forge and Furnace Gallery.
Breathless Glass & Blown Away Glass - Tim and Chantal are the glass blowers at the Forge and Furnace Gallery. Their unique colours and forms are constantly growing and changing - everything from large art pieces to Chantal's bubble vases. Quite a show!
Dog Patch Pottery A working pottery studio/gallery. Ogle funky and inspiring pottery and an eclectic array of art and gift items, including work from other area artisans.
The Purple Door - handmade wizards and twerps - Between the weavers coloured rooms, and stacks of fine and splendoured brooms, a wizard lair can be found there, magic pendants, fancy wear, jewellery and incense line the shelves, all laid out by fancy elves.
The Barn - Unique wood furniture and creations. Handcrafted bowls, lamps, tables, mirrors, birch bark lampshades, vases, canoes and birch plant holders.
The Soapstone - down the highway, closer to the ferry landing is the land of marvelous handmade soaps! A special double boiled process makes long lasting natural soaps.

: My favorite loom is made by Woolhouse Tools in Armstrong, British Columbia. LeClerc Looms is the oldest loom manufacturer in North America we believe. Their quality and the range of tools is excellent.
Shuttles:
Our favorite end-feed shuttles come from small town Alaska. We offer Bluster Bay Shuttles in two sizes. The 15" is $120 and the 13" is $110.
Yarn: Silk - Treenway Silks and The Silk Tree are right here in BC.
Maurice Brassard has become our standard for cotton, but their extensive catalogue has every range of fiber.
Wool comes from both Alberta - Custom Woolen Mills and Prince Edward Island - MacAuslands Woolen Mills.
